The lack of warming over the past decade provides an opportunity for scientists to question the basic premises of global warming: 1) The contribution of C02 to global warming 2) The validity of climate models and their ability to predict future global temperatures.

Ivar Giaever is a physicist.  He does not work in climatology.  Once again, climate-change deniers act as if there were such a thing as a "generic scientist", and that the opinions of a handful "scientists" who are not working in the field are, somehow, more valid than those of the overwhelming number of climatologists who have actually done research on the subject.
