Facebook Post Garners 1M Comments

Users shatter Guinness World Record

(Newser) – A team of about 100 Facebook pals has collaborated to comment more than a million times on a post—setting an official Guinness record, KTXL-TV reports. The initial post was made in October in the Facebook group Ffgpioneers/gwr/attempt. (It was an innocuous post made just for this purpose.) To garner 1,001,619 comments (and counting), each user had to post some 9,300 times on average, the Huffington Post notes. The previous record was 529,335. "I'm no spring chicken anymore and I really haven’t done anything phenomenal," one of the posters said. Now she has.

I have 2 unoriginal things to say that popped into my mind when I saw this article. 1st was the end of the South Park Guitar Hero episode when they got a million points and the game said "Congratulations, YOU... ARE... **GS!" 2nd was Bill Murray's response to his co-worker in Groundhog day when she told him she studied poetry. "What an incredible waste of waste of time!" Facebook is a perversion of society and unlike all the things ignorant bigots, racists and hate-filled tight-wads proclaim are destroying our values, nothing is worse than sitting at a table with friends who are all typing away on their smart phones, or sitting at home with company, watching a movie, and at no point during the entire show do you have EVERYONE watching it. There are at least 1 or 2 people updating facebook or txting at all times! I'm going to start lining my door frames with high powered electro magnets, THAT'LL SHOW EM! Oh, and one more thing! GET OFF MY LAWN!
