With 2:17 and two men in the penalty box, the Oilers were able to hold on and force overtime, where Shawn Horcoff was able to score, handing the Blues just their fourth loss at home.  Horcoff now has 13 points in the last eight games and a goal during each of the Oilers last four. Elsewhere in the league:

  • The Lightning ended their 5-game road losing streak with a 3-2 win over the Canadiens.
  • Jarome Iginla scored in the final seconds of regulation for the Flames, forcing the game into overtime on the way to a 2-1 win over the Panthers.
