(Newser) – Naomi Watts will play Princess Diana in a major biopic of her last years, reports the BBC. The 43-year-old Watts landed the plum role in Caught in Flight, which is scheduled to start filming this year, notes AP. It is expected to focus on her relationship with heart surgeon Hasnat Khan, which lasted from 1995 until a few months before she died in August 1997. Filmmakers say it will explore how Diana found "true personal happiness for the first time." The movie by Britain's Ecosse Films will be directed by Oliver Hirschbiegel, best known for his Hitler film Downfall.

We all so love the idea of Diana -- how do we know that she was happy with the heart surgeon--how do we know she wasn't happy with the chauffeur when she was screwing around with him...it's ridiculous to continue to keep her life under a microscope--let her rest in peace and her children  cherish their memories -- as for Charles and that UglyAss Camilla woman ...they should have been exiled on an island so that they could just look at each other 24/7 -- they both treated Diana horribly, disrespectfully, and added to her misery--as did that Queen .... RIP Diana..you're well rid of that lot! -- I only feel sorry for your sons and their children who wil only know you thru stories/lies/and videotapes...

She was a woman and mother who died too soon, yet there are many more who get no attention, but it is still sad. But why all the attention? She grew up priviledged, lived priviledged, a few days a year she flew to africa to have her picture taken with dying people and she called that work, I can't imagine anything more pity full.
