A Facebook campaign asking Taylor Swift to take an 18-year-old with leukemia to his prom paid off: "Kevin, I'm so sorry but I won't be able to make it to your prom," she wrote back on her own Facebook page. "But I was wondering, the (Academy of Country Music) Awards are coming up…Would you be my date? Love, Taylor." If he's feeling strong enough, Kevin McGuire of Stratford, NJ, will accompany Swift to the April 1 event in Vegas, reports USA Today.

"Obviously I said yes," said McGuire. It's "a lot better than the senior prom." McGuire's sister started the campaign on his behalf. "He just loved Taylor Swift's music," explains his cousin. "And he was concerned that he wasn't going to have a date for the prom because he was going to be bald and have chipmunk cheeks (thanks to cancer treatments). Tori said, 'What if I could get Taylor Swift for your prom' and he was elated." (More Taylor Swift stories.)
