(Newser) – A former student is suing a Boston-area college for $150,000 because, she says, it was inflexible about her housing situation—which involved a roommate who was too sexual. Lindsay Blankmeyer's senior-year roommate had sex with her boyfriend just feet from Blankmeyer as she tried to sleep, Blankmeyer says. In another instance, as Blankmeyer tried to sleep, her roommate "began shaking her and yelling at her," the suit alleges.

Blankmeyer, who says she struggles with depression and attention deficit disorder, ended up moving into a hotel room, where she became more depressed, the Enterprise reports. She finally had to withdraw from the school with just three weeks left in the semester. She finished her courses in September. "We are reviewing the complaint," says a Stonehill College rep. "There are two sides, and sometimes more, to every story."

Well, what did she expect? College has become an opportunity to get away from parents, get drunk, get laid, take drugs, and send home a whopping bill for the experience. Education is an optional extra. If she really wants a good education, free of extracurricular annoyances, she can get it at her public library -- at no charge.

After the 1960s "free love" movement, sexuality has never been the same. The propaganda machines (TV, papers and Internet) constantly push sex upon society, especially unnatural forms of it. What ever happened to morals in this sick society?

Most of us have been in the dorm room situation at one time or another so no judgement for what was going on. However, if it's affecting your grades because it's a nightly occurrence and you can't sleep, then yes something should be done. A 4 year degree from that college is going to cost about 200k. Personally i would have just turned on the lights and interrupted them, if that didn't work, i would have opened the door to the hallway. If push comes to shove and there is no compromise, and your roommate screams and tries to get physical, then call the police and press assault charges and get a no contact order. There's more then one way to get things done. I had a conversion van during the college years, with a fold out bed. Kids today, they don't think ahead.
