Sponsors May Pull Ads From Limbaugh's Show

(User Submitted) – It would seem that Rush has finally gone too far for some of his sponsors and at least five will or are considering pulling their ads from his show after comments he made on the air regarding a Georgetown Law student testifying to Congress on the cost of birth control. First he called the student a slut, comparing her to a prostitute being paid for sex. The next day he continued the tirade saying that "Women who receive conraceptives from insurance plans paid for by the government should release sex tapes.

The sponsors decided on pulling the ads after hundreds of users started using the hashtag #boycottRush with the sponsors’ companies Twitter accounts attached. Many users tweeted directly at the companies expressing disgust in their financial support for Limbaugh.

Here’s the companies that have pulled or are considering pulling their ads:

Sleep Number Bed

Mission Pharmacuetical Company

ProFlowers

Sleep Train (Mattress Center)

eHarmony

Ratings mean nothing when the sponsors desert a show. I'm sure you were rooting for Glenn Beck, but even Fox decided that his toxic schtick was not good for their bottom line. Nice to see you're no longer promoting the Tuskegee Experiment. Personally, I liked you best as Kepler the Sovereign. Your KTS phase was oafish and very nasty.

The reaction he gets is what keeps his ratings so high, people like conflict and drama. No doubt this will only contribute to his ratings.
