(Newser) – Patricia Heaton is back on Twitter, and the first thing she did upon her return was apologize to Sandra Fluke. Heaton had apparently deleted her account over the weekend after lobbing a series of tweet attacks at the Georgetown birth control advocate, but was back yesterday with the following post: "I apologized to Ms. Fluke last week. I may not agree with her views but I didn’t treat her with respect and I'm sorry. I was wrong. Mea Culpa."

Heaton's first apology was posted Saturday before her account was taken down, the Los Angeles Times reports: "Mea culpa Sandra! Wasn't being respectful 2 u re my tweets as I hope people wd b w/me. Don't like you being dissed -so sorry." Click for Heaton's original Fluke disses, which have been removed from her Twitter feed.

This woman is the biggest phony....all her plastic surgery and self righteousness...this poor college student is talking about Health Insurance covering birth control...LIKE it covers viagra...  Birth control is a preventative to pregnancy unlike abortion which is an after the fact procedure...Why is it ok for insurance to pay for an old man to get it up with viagra but not cover birth control (which is in fact pennies)?? This woman is a throwback to the 50's and should just do her stupid tv show and keep her mouth shut.
