Only in LA: A producer of Desperate Housewives had to give away a major spoiler in court yesterday ahead of Sunday's show, reports the Los Angeles Times. Look away now if you happen to be a fan: The character of Mike Delfino, played by James Denton, gets killed this weekend. "Two female jurors clasped their mouths" upon hearing the news, the LAT dutifully reports.

The disclosure came from producer George Perkins. He was testifying in the trial of actress Nicollette Sheridan, who is suing the show because she says her character was wrongfully eliminated. When he was on the stand, Perkins was asked if any other characters of her stature got killed, and he had to fess up to Delfino's pending demise. (More Desperate Housewives stories.)
