(Newser) – Swiss jewelers are redefining "diamond ring." Shawish has crafted a piece of jewelry made entirely of diamond—150 carats' worth. What the company calls the "world's first diamond ring" is valued at some $68 million. Given that Kim Kardashian's ring cost just $2 million, the Huffington Post wonders who in the world might end up with one of these.

I'd rob anyone I saw wearing a 68 million dollar ring, and fuck the risk. It's just too worth it.

I guess I don't get it, why people are so fascinated by diamonds?...why they signify something special, if everyone else does it, is it really special? Also If you had enough money to spend 68M on this ring pop wouldn't you feel like an arsehole for using money to decorate a finger instead of doing something worthwhile like...helping others, traveling the world, etc.? These are the types of social norms that make me realize I just don't fit in and that its okay.
