Bella Santorum Hospitalized Again

Candidate's daughter, 3, has genetic disorder

(AP) – The ill daughter of Rick Santorum has been hospitalized again. Bella, 3, has the rare genetic condition Trisomy 18, which typically proves fatal, and Santorum often says she wasn't expected to live past her first birthday. Santorum's campaign did not say why she was hospitalized; she was hospitalized earlier this year with pneumonia. The former Pennsylvania senator is spending a few days off the campaign trail for Easter.

As a paramedic I once transported a trisomy 17-18 patient. He was 31 years old, 31 inches tall, weighed 28 pounds, had Spock ears and a wrinkled little mouth, plus numerous other abnormalities, in appearance the perfect caricature of an elf. This man was written up in many medical journals because they don't usually live as long as he. Unfortunately, he coded in the teaching hospital's ICU before I had finished my transport paperwork.  He had 3 each of chromosomes 17 and 18. A tragic happening. I feel for the Santorums.

God works in mysterious ways....God's will....God's plan...I guess..... More like perverted, sick, and cruel...Oh but so mysterious........
