(Newser) – Al Franken's office has sent off a peculiar endorsement email—from a "Woman Picking Out Fruit in Supermarket." Nope, this is not a real person who's calling for voters to support the Minnesota senator. She's one of countless generic people doing generic things in stock photos; she's also, apparently, the co-chair of "People in Stock Photos for Franken." Franken used to write for Saturday Night Live, notes Tim Murphy at Mother Jones, and "it's good to see that career change hasn't caused any lasting damage to his sense of humor." Click here for the whole email.
