Twenty-three Florida State football players suspected of receiving help with an online exam are expected to be suspended for the Seminoles bowl game against Kentucky. Coach Bobby Bowden did not explicitly mention the issue in a press conference, but did admit that some players will not be traveling to the game, and that his staff was making the necessary adjustments, reports the Tallahassee Democrat.

The underclassmen involved in the suspected cheating will most likely be suspended for the first three games of next season, although the exact punishment has not been decided on by the NCAA. Eleven of the suspended players have starting experience. A school official noted that not all players deemed ineligible for the bowl are involved in the cheating incident. (More football stories.)
