(Newser) – Two US Marines have been killed and two severely injured in a plane crash during a training exercise in Morocco. Their MV-22 Osprey aircraft crashed in the desert after taking off from the amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima, a defense official tells AP. The men were among more than 1,000 Marines, soldiers, and airmen taking part in the annual African Lion military exercises alongside 900 Moroccan soldiers.
