Police stormed a Texas apartment yesterday to find the snatched newborn of a murdered mom alive and well. Little Keegan Schuchardt, just three days old, was taken out of his car seat in a pickup owned by his 28-year-old mom, who was shot six times by a woman in the parking lot of a pediatrician's office, according to authorities. The wounded mom tried to climb into the shooter's car to retrieve her baby, but was knocked down as the vehicle sped off, and she died later in a local hospital.

A suspect is being held in the case, but Spring police refused to release any details or to discuss a motive. The shooting scene was captured on surveillance tape. Cops were led to the suspect through a phone conversation they overheard while searching local apartments, reports ABC News. (More murder stories.)
