PETA Card Lets You 'Give Vick a Good Shake'

Posted Dec 19, 07 2:08 PM CST in Sports US

(Newser) – People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals has released a series of online holiday cards that strike back at celebrities on their naughty list, including dogfighter Michael Vick. The card features the former Falcons quarterback dragging a ball and chain around a prison yard, surrounded by guards and, of course, their dogs, AP reports. When viewers shake the globe, things get rough for Vick.

As the cartoon Vick ricochets off the inside of the globe, an announcer's voice predicts: "That's gonna sting in the morning!" A PETA assistant director qualified the flippant tone of the card. “We’re having a bit of fun, but prison is no lark and we’re hoping that Michael will use his time behind bars this holiday season to think about goodwill and peace for all," he said.
