A healthy, friendly, affectionate and evidently obedient Alsatian is looking for a good home. Taught by his master to affect a Nazi salute on command, Adolf—that's right—is in a Berlin animal shelter. His owner is in jail after showing the trick to police in a country where all Nazi symbols, slogans and gestures are illegal.

The retired car salesman himself gives Nazi salutes (no command necessary) and wears Hitler T-shirts, Der Spiegel reports. He threatened to put down the dog—now Adi—on the next anniversary of Hitler's birthday to protest fines levied against him. Judges previously cut him slack, assuming he suffered brain damage in a 1995 accident. (More Adolf Hitler stories.)
