And Dr. Spock Breathes Sigh of Relief

Posted Dec 19, 07 5:31 PM CST in Gossip Arts & Living

(Newser) – Lynne Spears might have been able to explain elder daughter Britney's head-shaving incident and even finessed the no-skivvies romp, but, People reports, news that younger daughter Jamie Lynn, 16, is pregnant appears to have derailed Lynne's book on … you guessed it, parenting. A spokeswoman for her publisher says the book, scheduled for release next spring, is "delayed, not canceled."

Thomas Nelson, which publishes Bibles and inspirational works, would not say if Spears' "personal story about raising high-profile children" would be affected by the whole underage, unmarried pregnancy thing. People reports that the publisher is "standing behind Lynne … and understand that she needs time with her family."
