The political ad generating all the buzz today is the one from the Obama campaign that invokes Osama bin Laden and suggests Mitt Romney is not prepared to make tough decisions as president. Something about it rang a bell for Michael Falcone at ABC's The Note blog: He points out that in 2008, Hillary Clinton's campaign ran an ad that, you guessed it, invoked Osama bin Laden and suggested Barack Obama was not prepared to make tough decisions as president. Back then, however, the Obama campaign cried foul.

Then-campaign spokesman Bill Burton criticized Clinton for using bin Laden "to score political points," adding, "We already have a president who plays the politics of fear, and we don't need another." Romney, meanwhile, accused the Obama camp of trying to "use an event that unified our country to once again divide us." (More Mitt Romney 2012 stories.)
