- Maxim Afinogenov’s goal with 2:17 left in the third period gave the Sabres a 2-1 win over the Islanders at the Nassau Coliseum. Ryan Miller had 42 saves to lead the way for Buffalo.
- The Predators dropped their fifth straight contest, losing 5-2 to the Blackhawks. Robert Lang and Patrick Sharp each had two goals for Chicago.
