(Newser) – The imprisoned felon who challenged President Obama for the Democratic nomination in West Virginia's primary and won an impressive 40% of the vote remains the bizarre political story of the day. Politico rounds up 10 facts about the locked-up candidate, Keith Judd, including:

  • Some may know him by his other name: prisoner number 11593-051
  • He finished third in the Idaho Democratic primary in 2008 with 734 votes, or 1.7%
  • His favorite president is Richard Nixon: "He got us out of Vietnam, and began world peace with China and the Soviets"
  • The self-described Rastafarian-Christian has been serving time for extortion in Texas and is due for release next year

All he's got to do is clean himself up, hire a good campaign/public relations team and he might have a chance. Heck, at the end of the day they're all crooks anyway.
