Brian McNamee says that he's got physical evidence that Roger Clemens used steroids thanks to his wife's foresight/complaining. McNamee took the stand again today and testified that while he was injecting Clemens with steroids, his wife was constantly warning him that if something went wrong, "You're going to go down." So, in 2001, in an effort to make her stop giving him a "hard time every single day," McNamee took a cotton ball from an injection, stashed it in a beer can, and kept it in his bedroom closet, the AP reports. When he showed it to his wife she said, "all right."
The testimony came soon after the judge had to dismiss a juror for falling asleep. It was the second time a juror has been dismissed from this case for nodding off. Apparently McNamee's testimony yesterday, in which he described injecting Clemens in more detail than you may want to hear ("Roger pulled down his pants, exposing his right buttocks cheek to me." McNamee then "plunged the fluid in, into his buttocks.") wasn't scintillating enough for her.
