Crawford v. Duncan Feud Escalates

Posted Apr 16, 07 10:58 PM CDT in Sports

(Newser) – The bad blood between 31-year referee Joey Crawford and softspoken, inoffensive Spurs leader Tim Duncan may end in a physical altercation, predicts the gloomy-faced forward. Crawford ejected Duncan in Sunday's match against the Mavs with two technical fouls, both issued for Duncan's perceived rebelliousness while on the bench. The second foul was for laughing.

According to Duncan, Crawford asked, "Do you want to fight?  Do you want to fight?" Duncan added: "I don't have any problem with him, but we can do it if he wants to." Crawford said, "He called me a piece of [expletive]." It was the second ejection for Duncan in his nine-year career.
