Key to Weight Loss: Stop Eating at Night

Study suggests nighttime fasting is effective

(Newser) – Want to lose weight, but can't bear to give up french fries? Well, there might be a "diet" of sorts that lets you indulge—provided you do it early. A new study has found that eating early, and then fasting at night, could be a powerful weight-loss strategy, the LA Times reports. "We have come up with something that is a simple alternative to calorie counting," the biologist who led the study boasted.

Researchers fed mice a high-fat, high-calorie diet, but restricted half of them to eating for the first eight hours of their night (mice being most active at night), and fasting the other 16. The rest could eat any time. The restricted mice came out remarkably lean, while the other group grew obese. But obesity experts say more study is needed before recommending this eight-hour technique on humans, noting previous studies suggesting humans should eat small meals throughout the day. "I hope it's true," said one, "but I doubt it."

If you want to lose weight, this is what you want to avoid, a new study suggests.

There's been a lot of articles recently on weight loss plans not working. While there's no substitute for eating healthier and even moderate exercise, some people just need a bit of help to control their cravings or manage their lifestyle that might not allow regular eating intervals. I've tried Visi Weight Loss for about 3 days and simply put, I'm not hungry after I take it!  The challenge is to make sure you eat at regular intervals! http://BuyVisiWeightLoss.com

Try go to sleep when you're hungry and see if you wake up well rested the next morning.

Complete bunk.  It doesn't matter when you eat - - it matters how many calories you eat.  Maybe these scientists could start working on cures for flesh-eating viruses instead of trying to contradict studies that have been around for decades.
