A teacher in Texas is accused of sexting with a 15-year-old female student just days after he received his school's award for "Teacher of the Year." John McDaniel, 32, was taken into custody on the last day of school and charged with soliciting a minor online and engaging in improper relations with a student, reports NBC of Dallas/Fort Worth.

“The information we have is that there was some sexting going on, by way of the cellphone and some explicit emails,” says a local police sergeant. The girl's brother apparently found one of the emails. McDaniel, the school's band director, is free on a $10,000 bond and is on administrative leave from the school. (More sexting stories.)
