(Newser) – The public isn't swallowing Michael Bloomberg's proposed ban on sodas larger than 16 ounces. A new Reuters/Ipsos poll, spotted by Politico, finds that a whopping 64% of Americans disapprove of the ban, compared to 36% who support it. And even more (71%) say they don't believe that limiting drink sizes will significantly affect obesity rates.

Headline should read: "Irresponsible, fatass Americans love others to pay for the debilitating effects of their Soda-pickled organs."

at some level, who cares what Americans think about the ban? What interests me is what New Yorkers think about the ban.
