Bill and Hill: Campaigning or Competing?

(Newser) – Caught up again in what she calls the Clintons' "conjugal psychodrama," New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd says there is "panic and perplexity" in the Hillary camp about whether the prospective First Laddie is helping or hurting things. “For the first time since the Marc Rich pardon,” Dowd quotes a Clinton friend, “Bill is seriously diminishing his personal standing with the people closest to him.”

Dowd says it is hard to tell what motivates the former president: is he really just defending his own legacy when he rises to Hillary's defense? What's up with those clumsy remarks by the man thought to be be the best politician of his time? How come, in a recent speech, he said "I" 94 times and "Hillary" only 7?
