In day one of Jerry Sandusky's sex abuse trial, an alleged victim testified that Sandusky had treated him "like a girlfriend" and showered him with gifts, MSNBC reports. "Victim Four," a 28-year-old man, estimated he'd had about 50 inappropriate encounters with Sandusky—from mutual showers and hugging to attempts at sexual penetration. "This was something good happening," he testified in the Bellefonte, Pa., courtroom. "I never had a father figure, and I'm liking everything I'm getting."
Victim Four also discussed letters sent by Sandusky, saying some were "creepy" and others more intimate, the Patriot-News reports. "Some of them are more personal, like I love you and things like that," he said. But the alleged victim testified that he angrily struck Sandusky with a bottle for touching Victim Four's knee during a car ride: "There was a friend with me at the time, and I didn't want him seeing any part of that."
