A grand jury will determine what, if any, charges will be levied against dad, say officials.   (Getty Images)

(Newser) – A furious Texas father pulled a man who was molesting his 5-year-old daughter off of the child and beat him to death, he told police. The dad spotted the man on top of the girl behind a barn during an event where several people were grooming and caring for horses about 120 miles west of Houston, reports the Houston Chronicle. The father raced to the scene behind the barn when he suddenly heard his daughter screaming.

He told police he witnessed the 47-year-old man sexually assaulting his daughter, pulled him off, and hit him several times in the head. The man died at the scene, and the girl was taken to a hospital for treatment and evaluation. The father has not been arrested. Officials said a grand jury will determine what, if any, charges will be filed against him.

now that we have the pedophiles dna the dad should get a reward for every other case solved and he should get the medal of freedom awarded by the president to him and get a get out of jail free card just like the kennedy's have

If all is correct, then the guy ("perp") got off easy. It would be a terrible thing if the dad went to jail for defending his daughter. There are certain "entities" that sometimes do nothing to protect our kids and so in this case it was taken care of. Now let's look at the bigger picture...what about the trauma the child went through? She may never trust another male figure as long as she lives. Something to think about.
