Moscow apparently isn't just digging in its heels against international reproach of Syria. It's sending attack helicopters to Bashar al-Assad, says Hillary Clinton. The shipment is on its way and "will escalate the conflict quite dramatically," she said at a news conference, according to AP. Russia has previously said that none of the arms it sends to Syria will be used to put down the anti-government uprising, but the accusation by Clinton is yet another bleak development on a day when a UN official described the Syrian situation as civil war.
