Peyton, Colts Blow by Houston

Posted Dec 23, 07 10:12 PM CST in Sports

(Newser) – Indianapolis, firmly entrenched in the No. 2 spot in the AFC, didn't take the day off as Peyton Manning threw three touchdowns and the Colts rolled up 458 yards of offense in a 38-15 thrashing of Houston. Two of the Colts' scoring drives exceeded 90 yards. "We got our tails kicked," Texans coach Gary Kubiak told the Houston Chronicle.

Reggie Wayne and Dallas Clark once again more than made up for the absence of receiver Marvin Harrison, combining for three scores and 203 yards. Clark broke club records for catches and TDs by a tight end, formerly held by John Mackey. The Texans failed to get a franchise-record eighth victory while Indy improved to 18-2 in its last 20.
