(Newser) – Just days before a Texas man killed a man who was allegedly molesting his daughter, another set of parents reportedly took the law into their own hands. San Francisco couple Barry Gilton, 38, and Lupe Mercado, 37, are accused of killing the man who was allegedly pimping their 17-year-old daughter. Gilton and Mercado followed Calvin Sneed, 22, around California and failed at a first attempt to kill him before shooting him to death June 4 as he drove in San Francisco, authorities say.

Attorneys for the couple insist they did not kill Sneed, though they did everything else they could to rescue their daughter from the alleged Compton gang member after she disappeared some time ago and they found out she was working as a prostitute. Police agencies and other organizations they went to for help "turned them away," says one lawyer. Gilton and Mercado, who have three other children together, now face murder and other charges, the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

When the cops refused to do their job, they deputized the parents. They did the right thing, fuck that pimp piece of shit.

Now that they are in prison their daughter will just move to another pimp. She was hanging out on the streets because of their lack of parenting skills. I have seen this before. They raise her to think she is a princess and no one can tell her no or hurt her feelings. So when she gets old enough she just ignores her parents too and decides she will do what she wants. They raised it. They will have many years to reflect on how their daughter made fools out of them and they won't be able to do anything about it. If their 3 other kids are younger they better hope they are protected from her. She will probably help some pimp sell them on the streets.

If Only they were in Texas. In San Fran there's probably a Pimp Rights Organization.
