Marco Rubio as Romney VP? All Signs Point to No

Two months into search, he hasn't been asked to hand over any info: sources

(Newser) – Marco Rubio is not being vetted to be Mitt Romney's VP. Or so "knowledgeable Republican" sources tell ABC News' Jonathan Karl. They're apparently basing their conclusion on the fact that two months into Beth Myers' reign as head of Romney's search committee, Rubio still has not been asked to hand over financial documents or fill out questionnaires by Team Romney—steps that come standard as part of the vetting process.

Of course, Karl notes that Rubio still could be asked for those things, and implies, as many have, that the Romney camp would be a fool not to do so. After all, the Florida senator is "young, charismatic, and wildly popular with conservatives" and could give Romney a leg up in Florida and among Hispanics. No comment from Rubio or Romney.

"young, charismatic, and wildly popular with conservatives" ...and not to mention a liar, so he fits the GOP bill. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marco_Rubio#.22Son_of_exiles.22_controversy "The real essence of my family’s story is not about the date my parents first entered the United States." Yeah...why let pesky things like facts get in the way of rhetoric. You serve your party well Rubio. "Or whether they traveled back and forth between the two nations. Or even the date they left Fidel Castro’s Cuba forever and permanently settled here." You didn't leave Castro's Cuba. You left Batista's Cuba, Batista's posh and papered Cuba. You weren't a refugee you were an immigrant.
