The Palins are fast becoming America's first family of reality TV. On the same day Bristol Palin's new reality show made its debut, NBC announced that father Todd will be taking part in a military-themed competition series called Stars Earn Stripes, reports Entertainment Weekly. Retired Gen. Wesley Clark, NATO's former supreme commander in Europe, will be sharing hosting duties with former Dancing With the Stars co-host Samantha Harris.

In Stars Earn Stripes, which debuts in August, contestants will be paired with military veterans or other experts to complete missions inspired by military exercises. Besides Todd, the other "celebrities" involved include former NFL player Terry Crews, singer Nick Lachey, boxing champion Laila Ali, and Biggest Loser trainer Dolvett Quince. Todd is no stranger to reality TV. He appeared on Sarah Palin's Alaska, but he and the former Alaska governor were reportedly unable to sell a follow-up show based on his snowmobile racing career. (Bristol's latest reality TV turn isn't off to the best start; she's being sued.)
