His latest reflection is on yoga

(Newser) – Fidel Castro might not like running-dog capitalists, but he's apparently a huge fan of the downward-facing dog. The aging Cuban icon waxed rhapsodic about yoga in his latest newspaper editorial. "Yoga does things with the human body that defy the imagination," said his front-page "Reflection from Fidel" in the state-run Granma newspaper. Maybe he's so busy doing yoga he doesn't have time to get wordy.

The editorial only ran 35 words—similar in length to many of his recent pieces, sparking speculation that his health or mental faculties may be seriously declining. "It may be that he is not coherent enough to write longer 'Reflections,'" a University of Miami professor tells CNN. "But it's clear that even if Fidel Castro is no longer in the limelight, he's not ready to stop talking just yet."

A lot of people may not know this, but Castro writes something almost everyday, whether it's a short a editorial in a newspaper, or an extensive diary. He's an incredibly brilliant man, and he's not often given credit for it. He may have slightly lost touch with reality in recent years, but he's no fool.
