Adele Expecting First Child

Singer and boyfriend Simon Konecki are having a baby

(Newser) – Adele has another reason to celebrate: The 24-year-old Brit singer and her boyfriend are expecting their first child together. "I wanted you to hear the news direct from me," she wrote on her official blog, which has since crashed. "Obviously we’re over the moon and very excited but please respect our privacy at this precious time." Boyfriend Simon Konecki, 36, is CEO of the Drop4Drop charity, notes MSNBC. It's not clear how far along she is.

The recent Komen revelations have made me wary of any non-profit charity.   Now I see them as little more than instruments for the enrichment of their organizers, until proven otherwise.   Older guys who pick up on enormously successful young performers is another group of opportunists.
