Clemens Opens Own Probe, Plans to Talk

Posted Dec 26, 07 7:05 PM CST in Sports

(Newser) – Calling the Mitchell Report "wrong," Roger Clemens' lawyers have begun their own investigation into claims that Clemens used steroids and HGH, the New York Times reports. The Rocket will field questions in an open session with the media on January 6—the night his 60 Minutes interview is set to air.

"We have uncovered a lot of logical people we thought Mitchell was going to talk to but never talked to him or his investigators," asserted Clemens' lead lawyer. "That’s troubling.” Other than a brief video posted Sunday on his website, Clemens has yet to comment publicly on the allegations.
