Tom Cruise is furious over an article in Life & Style magazine claiming he "abandoned Suri," reports TMZ. The lawyer of the newly divorced star dispatched an email railing against the magazine, calling it "a bogus cover headline that Suri has been 'ABANDONED BY HER DAD.'" Bert Fields didn't threaten legal action, apparently, but continued his PR blitz on behalf of Cruise.
"That, as anyone knows who saw their photos together yesterday and today, is a disgusting, vicious lie," he wrote. "He's with Suri right now; and he was with her the day before Life & Style trumpeted their cruelly false accusation." Cruise has dominated the tabloids since his split with Katie Holmes. Last week, Cruise threatened to sue the National Enquirer, while today, speculation surfaced that Scientology officials will select who will become the actor's next love interest.
