Giants Have Eyes on Prize in Pats Game

Posted Dec 27, 07 2:25 PM CST in Sports    Most Covered

(Newser) – Though a fixed playoff picture seemingly gives the Giants nothing to play for in Saturday's game against the unbeaten Patriots, New York wouldn't mind playing the spoiler. “No one in here is screaming ‘Let's rest!' I can tell you that," running back Brandon Jacobs tells the New York Post.

Coach Tom Coughlin has been tight-lipped about how long he'll play his starters in the only obstacle to New England becoming the first team to finish a season 16-0. Meanwhile, Tampa Bay, New York's first postseason opponent, began resting its starters last week. Regardless, says DE Justin Tuck: "You see our playbooks? We got Patriots stuff in it."
