Warner Bros. Scraps Paris Dark Knight Premiere

NYPD will increase security at showings

(Newser) – Two quick fallouts from the Dark Knight shooting in Colorado:

  • Warner Bros. has canceled what was supposed to a gala premiere for the movie tonight in Paris, according to the Hollywood Reporter. It also called off interviews with the stars.
  • NYPD chief Ray Kelly, meanwhile, says police will be a presence at city theaters this weekend to guard against copycats, notes Cinema Blend.

I won't feel safe in a theater again until I'm forced to take off my shoes, go through a metal detector & full body scanner, and all the brown people get strip searched. /sarcasm
