Florida Man Denies Spending $50K at Strip Club

Lokesh James claims charges were fraudulent

(Newser) – Fifty thousand bucks—on strippers? No way, says an outraged Florida man. Lokesh James insists he spent only $600 on Michelob Ultras and a little fun in the Champagne Room at the local strip club. The rest of his staggering $50,000 credit-card bill? All fraudulent charges and forged signatures, he says. But Bank of America doesn't believe him, and neither do police. According to club staff, James ordered a "Diamond VIP Room" with at least six strippers entertaining him non-stop for six hours, reports the Tampa Bay Times.

The club also provided receipts, while investigators said James' stories didn't match up and there was "no evidence" someone else used his card. James' attorney argues that no man can spend $50,000 in six hours at a strip club, and he questions how James could have tipped a male bartender so much. "If he's in there with seven girls, then why is a bartender getting tipped all this money?"

Police say a Florida man spent $50,000 in six hours at a strip club.

Just because he does not "remember" does not mean it did not HAPPEN.... Maybe he should have had a 'friend" watch his back?

I am sure B of A will be able to re-coup there loss be finding even craftier & unethical ways to gather overdraft fees from all their customers that are just making it payday to payday. It should be made easy public knowledge of how many times B of A charge 37 dollars by accepting a charge on someones credit or debit card knowing that there was no money on that card or that it was over the limit. Better yet charging 5 dollar charge for a customer to take his money out of their bank because it was not their ATM. A 5 dollar charge for something that cost them pennies if that to provide this service. Yet they have the gull to publically be mentioned about this individual and publically announce they believe he is lying, because they think he is. Why was he given an apparent over 50k limit on his credit card. If he is that wealthy and credit worthy whats their problem unless maybe that was a mistake. Nah. This country where 6 people have more wealth (inherited)  then the bottom 41% of the population and are admired for having it is on the road to self destruction. If you have enough money you can get away with murder and have the press publically shame someone who you think might not pay you back on the same day. It doesn't mean much to worry or do anything about the disaster and violent crash just a few years ahead when you are doing everything possible for you and your family to make it to the next payday. Sorry about the B of A rant fellow commentors, just needed to vent.  lol
