(AP) – A sports blogger who recently wrote about surviving a shooting in Canada. A man preparing to celebrate his first wedding anniversary. A young woman whose death announcement brought heartbreak, yet closure, to her family. They were among the 12 people killed when a gunman barged into a crowded Colorado theater, set off gas canisters, and opened fire as spectators dove for cover. Dozens of others were injured, including 11 in critical condition. Colorado authorities have released the full list of victims, available at the Wall Street Journal.

Here are details on a few of them:

  • For Alex Sullivan, it was to be a weekend of fun: He planned to ring in his 27th birthday with friends at a special midnight showing of The Dark Knight Rises and then celebrate his first wedding anniversary tomorrow.
  • Micayla Medek, 23, was also among the dead, said her father's cousin. Busch said the news, while heartbreaking, was a relief for the family after an agonizing day of waiting for news. "I hope this evil act ... doesn't shake people's faith in God," she said.
  • Jansen Young, 21, survived after boyfriend Jon Blunk pushed her under a theater seat and shielded her, MSNBC reports. But Blunk didn't make it. "Jon just took a bullet for me," Young said.

For those who think they just can't let their children join the military becaus they will be killed. Here is an example that it can happen anywhere. Did you see the listing of the Navy man home on leave who was attending the movie? Upsettingly, what ended up getting me through my son's deployment in Afghanistan was on his way to being shipped there, we had 21 young people killed in under two weeks in the Central Kentucky area - many from gun violence. And no, they weren't involed in gangs or drugs. Most were at work or just at the wrong place when some idiot decided to start shooting. One, they never figured out why he was found shot dead out side his apartment in a good nieghborhood. The others were killed in tragic car accidents. Which made me realize that my son was no safer at home than he was where he was going. He and his fellow Marines were well trained and had each others' backs. If something was going to  happen, it was going to happen where ever he was. It is just sad that this soldier made it home just to be killed. In his honor, the flags should be flown at half staff.

I would really like to know how an unemployed OCCUPY member (sanctioned by Soros/Obama) had the money to purchase 10k worth of guns and ammo. Just wondering. Maybe Holder lost them. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=3925606192354&set=p.3925606192354&type=1&theater
