Mischa Barton Busted in LA

Posted Dec 28, 07 3:41 AM CST in Gossip Crime & Courts Arts & Living

(Newser) – Former "OC" star Mischa Barton was booked early yesterday on suspicion of driving under the influence, possessing an illegal narcotic and driving with an invalid license, E! News is reporting. Barton, 21, was pulled over in West Hollywood before dawn after deputies spotted the actress driving her Range Rover straddling two lanes of traffic and turning left without signaling, authorities said.

"During Ms. Barton's detention, it was determined that she was an unlicensed driver and was driving while under the influence of an alcoholic beverage," the department stated. The actress also had marijuana and a controlled substance—not yet identified by police— in her possession, according to authorities. Barton was released on $10,000 bail and is scheduled to appear in court in February.
