Mitt praises health care system at fundraiser

(Newser) – Mitt Romney simply cannot wait to repeal ObamaCare, but he is a fan of Israel's health care system … which has been socialized since its founding in 1948, BuzzFeed points out. During his visit to the country, Romney today praised Israel for spending so little on health care: "Do you realize what health care spending is as a percentage of the GDP in Israel? Eight percent," Romney said at a fundraiser. "You spend 8% of GDP on health care. You're a pretty healthy nation. We spend 18% of our GDP on health care. Ten percentage points more. … Our gap with Israel is 10 points of GDP. We have to find ways—not just to provide health care to more people, but to find ways to find and manage our health care costs." Mitt has lied to senior Americans.  He said that they won't lose their Medicare. Those of us who have socialized medicine love it when it's "shoved down our throats."  You won't be turned away if we have a preexisting condition.  You won't lose everything if you have cancer.  American health care sucks because of the politicians taking money from the health care industry. What's worse than the politicians or the corporations are the brain-dead conservative voters.  They are voting for death, death to those who can't afford health insurance.  They refuse to acknowledge that they're voting for their own avoidable deaths.

He's not a fan of socialized health care, per se, he was complimenting how efficient their spending is.  So yes, it's good that he's a fan of socialized healthcare that's affordable to its citizenry.  The US healthcare system is already a train wreck, and socializing it without addressing its problems will only make it worse.  That's pretty much the direction we're headed right now.

His own program in MA was the blueprint for 'Obamacare', which he wants to repeal yet he loves Israel's socialized medicine? Which is it Mitt? Can't you make up your mind?
