Today is just teeming with quirky holidays that some might say overlap in a sort of priceless way. Mike Huckabee's "Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day" is officially here, and the Washington Post reports that plenty of supporters have RSVPed yes. According to a Facebook page set up to mark the event, nearly 600,000 people are planning to eat at the chicken chain in order to, in Huckabee's words, "affirm a business that operates on Christian principles."

But critics aren't planning to let today's event go unmatched: They've set up a "Kiss Mor Chiks" gathering on Friday, and are urging people of the same sex to show up at Chick-fil-A restaurants and smooch, reports the AP. (More Chick-Fil-A stories.)
