The speculation over Mitt Romney's VP pick continues, and even the president is getting in on the guessing game: This week, Obama told a top fundraiser that he thinks Romney wants to choose Gen. David Petraeus. "The president wasn't joking," an insider tells the Drudge Report. Speculation has swirled around Petraeus before, and Romney is thought to have had a secret meeting with him in New Hampshire, but Petraeus has insisted he is not interested in politics.

Meanwhile, in the Weekly Standard, William Kristol and Stephen F. Hayes write that they "now have reason to think" Chris Christie is back in the VP running. Their top three picks: Christie, Paul Ryan, and Marco Rubio. (More David Petraeus stories.)
