(Newser) – How much money could you earn by selling bits and pieces of your body? British journalist Storm Theunissen sought to find out, and despite legal limitations, "it turns out pretty much everything God gave us can be sold," she writes in the Guardian. Some of her findings:

  • Hair: $78, as offered by a London hairdresser who harvests human hair to make wigs for chemotherapy patients

  • Blood: $47 was her best offer from a clinic
  • Skin: $78, but only if it's afflicted with psoriasis
  • Urine: $47, as listed on an auction website for fetishists
  • Eggs: Up to $15,000, depending on the donor's beauty and intelligence

There's brothels in NV where you can "rent" all the female body parts you'd like, but its gonna' cost you. Gone up like everything else- it ain't $1/minute anymore, more like $10/minute or more- outa' my league

i dunno. if i was broke i might consider selling body parts. i mean, come on, it's my damned body. so why if i choose to, can't i sell parts of myself to the highest bidder? it makes no sense. not saying i would but i should have that right over my own body. just as i should have the right to kill myself when i become aged and frail. how is the govt. or the state have any dog in this fight?

I wouldn't touch this with a 10-foot pole.  How much would a 10-foot pole be worth anyway?
