How much money could you earn by selling bits and pieces of your body? British journalist Storm Theunissen sought to find out, and despite legal limitations, "it turns out pretty much everything God gave us can be sold," she writes in the Guardian. Some of her findings:
- Hair: $78, as offered by a London hairdresser who harvests human hair to make wigs for chemotherapy patients
- Blood: $47 was her best offer from a clinic
- Skin: $78, but only if it's afflicted with psoriasis
- Urine: $47, as listed on an auction website for fetishists
- Eggs: Up to $15,000, depending on the donor's beauty and intelligence
