Arizona Gov. Brewer: No State IDs for Young Illegals

Brewer issues executive order as Obama's program begins

(Newser) – As young illegal immigrants lined up to apply for President Obama's deferred-deportation program yesterday, Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer made it clear where she stands on the issue. Brewer yesterday issued an executive order stating that young immigrants granted work permits under the program would not be able to receive any public benefits, including driver's licenses or other state-issued ID, BusinessWeek reports. The governor, who has repeatedly clashed with the federal government over immigration, said the new program's documents do not prove lawful status in the US.

Brewer said the order was a direct response to the president's move, although critics noted that it was merely restating existing law. "It doesn’t seem to really do anything," state Senate Democratic Leader David Schapira tells Talking Points Memo. "I see it as her once again trying to grandstand on the issue of immigration." Brewer herself admitted that the order "actually is no different than what was already in place." Asked what role the state would play in the new program, she said, "We will issue an employment authorization card to these people," then paused and said, "The feds will."

What the Governor of Arizona has to know and  aknowledge is that is if she knows federal law is that under the United States Constitution, Article Vl, Section 02, {Supremacy Clause} the federal government has Pre-emption in the matter no matter how much  one tries to find a loop-hole around-it the law stands firm! Here, plainly you have rogue states trying to implement their own version of immigration law which plainly the federal government  law trumps state law anytime! So over and over, again and again these rogue states take their cases to the courts which in some cases because you have a majority conservative Supreme Court they (The courts) decide to try and re-interpret the United States Constitution in that allowing rogue states to enact some forms of immigration law, which I reiterate is soley under federal jurisdiction when it concerns border security or immigration law. Governor Jan Brewer: You and your cronies (Alabama, Georgia, etc.) need to stop trying to have your  local law enforcement impersonate federal law enforcement when it comes to border security or illegal-aliens, right? Go back to the governing of Arizona issues! Union Yankee in California-

For all you guys who raved at me for disagreeing with Gov. Brewer asks yourself before you go to Church this Sunday, What would Jesus do? Would he have done what Gov. Brewer did and turn his back on them or would he have done like Obama did and say, "come ye children and I'll give you rest".   YOU DECIDE?
