(Newser) – Three members of Pussy Riot have been slapped with two-year sentences for protesting Vladimir Putin via song in a Moscow cathedral—but two others who participated in the performance remain free. Now Russian police are trying to track down the two missing band members, Russian officials tell RIA Novosti. "The criminal case is ongoing and a search is under way," an interior ministry rep says.

The only reason this story is still newsworthy and garnering headlines is because "journalists" love the fact that they can use the words "Pussy Riot" with impunity.

My faith in humanity would go up one point if a country, any country, grants them political asylum and encourages them to get to an embassy or out of the country.

Funny how this story is getting all the press at the same time that Ecuador granted Julian Assange political asylum.
