Nineteen people were shot in Chicago last night and into this morning, 13 of them in a single 30-minute period starting about 9pm, reports the Chicago Tribune. In one of the incidents, eight teens—including two 14-year-old boys and a 15-year-old boy—were fired on by gunmen in a passing car, reports the Sun-Times, which notes that police call that stretch of South Shore neighborhood "Terror Town." Police say the attack was likely sparked from a gang clash over territory, and one of the victims of the drive-by was a 19-year-old woman walking to work. No fatalities were reported.
